With the onset of health care reform in 2014, the individual and family market changed drastically. Some of the positive changes that were implemented include insurance companies no longer being able to deny or charge higher rates for people with pre-existing health conditions, no charge for preventive care and that child dependents can stay on their parents’ plan until age 26. There are also now subsidies available for those with lower incomes if you apply through Covered CA.

Unfortunately, doctor networks on individual and family plans are much smaller than they used to be (with the exception of Kaiser) and premium costs are higher unless you qualify for a subsidy.

Rose Insurance Group helps you pick the best plan on the market based on your personal needs, including trying to find a plan that still includes all the doctors you want to see.
